The weekend is almost here! To fully take advantage of the warm summer air and extra day off, we’re betting you’ll be packing yourself a cooler full of brews. Why not take your cooler to the next level with two deliciously spiked sweets, the easiest and most colorful way to keep your cooler cold, and a few gadgets that make throwing back a Bud that much simpler.
1. Keep it Cold with Balloons
Simply fill up each balloon, tie it off and freeze overnight. Place it in your cooler to keep things cool.
When the ice has melted, either return to the freezer and use another time… or start a water balloon fight!
2. Orange Slice Jello Shots
Remember how awesome it was when your mom came to soccer games with a tupperware filled with orange slices?
Give your cooler an adult version of the orange with these orange slice jello shots. We based ours off of this recipe from Savory Reviews, but you could also try using a lime and our Cinco de Mayo recipe.
3. Spiked Pudding Pops
We’re at it again with the spiked pudding!
This time we used vanilla pudding, marshmallow vodka, and fun colors to make this batch look like the Otter Pops (or Flavor Ice) we all grew up with. This recipe is slightly different than our Kahlua Pudding Pops. Use 1 box vanilla pudding, 1 cup milk, 1/2 cup vodka, 3/4 cup cool whip, and then follow the original instructions.
4. Beer Drinking Gadgets
You’ve outfitted yourself with the ideal bottle opener, but who really wants to hold a slippery beer in the hot sun? Ok, maybe these aren’t crucial but they’re fun and definitely made us look.
Bottle Grips: This pair of bottle grips goes for about $7 and is available on Amazon Prime. We’re digging the patriotic colors.
Can Grips: Or if you’re more of a can enthusiast, get a set of 5 can grips! Also really silly but a fun gag gift or party trick.
Beer Savers: Not one for finishing your beer in one sitting? Or perhaps you need to take the party on the road but don’t want to dump that Corona? Beer Savers will save you! These cute caps come in a set of 6 and are convenient for non-alcoholic bottled bevvies too. ;)
