5 Best Apps of the Week: Snapchat for Doodling + More!

We hope that turkey is digesting and you’re currently enjoying your long weekend, but technology never sleeps! This week’s best new apps are right here, so you’d better check ’em out now. This week, we’re feeling particularly sentimental about seeing friends and family, and there’s an app that will actually bring your friends to you via Uber. It’s amazing. There’s also an app that will let you HD video group chat with your #squad as much as you want. Get excited.

1. SOMA Messenger: SOMA Messenger claims to be the fastest messenger app to help you connect with all your friends via unlimited chat, calls and HD video chat — and when we say all your friends, we meant it. SOMA can do group chats with up to 500 people at a time. The only question that remains is… why?

2. Desss: Desss is like Snapchat for doodles. It works pretty similarly: Just draw something, choose a pal and send it over. Your friend can then open and view your doodle once and respond. Get creative!

3. Compra: This shopping list app is pretty darn cool — especially with so much holiday shopping looming. The app will actually allow you to input the highest and lowest dollar amounts you expect to spend for each item and help you stay on budget.

4. Riffstation: Ever listen to a great song and wish you could play it on an instrument but you just don’t have the chords? Riffstation will actually help you “listen” to the song and show the chords as the song is playing with up to 80 percent accuracy. Thanksgiving serenade. On.

5. Teleport: Teleport is one heck of a cool app. Whether they have the app or not, you can send your friends a request letting them know you want to see them. If they accept, Teleport will send an Uber to their location within a 100 mile radius and bring them to you.
