With the Fourth of July right around the corner and temperatures climbing, hanging out beside a body of water certainly sounds good, doesn’t it? Well, Queen Bey spent some time lounging beachside, where she uploaded a gorgeous yet simple no-makeup snap to Instagram that has us taking serious style notes.
No stranger to launching hair and clothing trends, we’re loving her latest look. She’s found a way to incorporate so many of summer’s hottest trends into one effortless ensemble, and we’re breaking it down for you here in four simple steps (no coincidence the number four happens to be Beyoncé’s favorite number). Feel free to imitate. After all, it’s the most stylish form of DIY.
1. Ultra flattering one-piece: One pieces are having a moment. While Bey’s piece is from the formidable swimwear icon Mara Hoffman, we scoured some similar pieces like the adorable scalloped-top number from Topshop ($68) on the left. Or you could opt for a sexy blush v-neck splurge like the one from Norma Kamali ($335) on the right.
2. A high braided pony: This is the perfect hairstyle to keep your strands off your neck in the summer heat and super easy (for second day or beach hair too). Just pull your tresses up into a high ponytail and braid. Also, it’s super versatile, as we’ve even seen the style sported on the red carpet.
3. Tiny hoop earrings: Those tiny little hoop earrings Bey is rocking are eternally chic. For the piercing-phobic or the trend-happy, you could opt for this gold plated ear cuff from ASOS ($22) that lends a similar look without having to go under the gun.
4. Wearing gold tatts like cuffs: Leave it to the Queen to take an old trend and wear it in a whole new way. Gold flash tattoos have been a festival favorite for some time now but here, Bey wears them like they’re big statement cuff bracelets. You can line up some of these gold bracelet tattoos ($10) to achieve a similar look.
Oh, and don’t forget the SPF. ;)
