Take This Personality Test to Better Plan Your Next Vacation

You’ve spent hours online reading reviews of a hotel, restaurant or city that you’re dying to go to. But the problem with that is none of the reviewers are you, so how would they know what you’ll like? To solve this, Anna Kolk has created a travel platform called DELI Amsterdam that plans activities and outings for both locals and tourists around the great city of Amsterdam, all based on a personality test. Say what?!

This travel platform is different than the rest because it focuses on users, not reviewers. That’s right, it’s all about Y-O-U! The process starts with a test that asks six questions related to your gender, area of residence, shoe style, drink preference, entertainment interests and how you like to spend your free time. Just six answers to your perfect Amsterdam vacation or excursion? Yup, just that… we even tried it!

The test sorts users into 14 different personality types, 7 for tourists, including Alternative Souls and Wild Ones, and 7 for locals, such as Explorers and Forever Young. Once you’ve been sorted, the website presents you with a guide that includes suggestions for bars, restaurants, parks, museums, shopping and nightclubs that are all a match for your style. It even includes a map and travel suggestions for getting to and from each destination.

DELI Amsterdam works for both locals and tourists, encouraging everyone to get out and see things they have yet to see and do things they have never done. The free service launched on July 23, and will continue to be free of charge to users in the future. Kolk hopes to take her travel platform to other big cities around the world, allowing users to create tailor-made trips and visits to places that are totally their style. We’re hoping the next stop is San Francisco!

Would you use a travel platform like DELI Amsterdam to plan a trip? What cities would you like them to feature next? Share your thoughts with us below or Tweet us @BritandCo.
