Demi Lovato’s Drugstore Makeup Collaboration With NYC Is an Amazing Naked Palette Dupe

Celebrity makeup collabs result in some of the raddest products out there in the beauty world. Life wouldn’t be the same without that perfect, classic red lipstick from Dita Von Teese + MAC’s collaboration and we turn to the Gwen Stefani + Urban Decay eyeshadow palette when we need a killer look for a night on the town. Or to look like a rockstar. A new celebrity has added a makeup collaboration to her resume — Demi Lovato, and it’s a drugstore makeup collab at that, putting it in a class of its own.

Demi Lovato and NYC New York Color teamed up to create the Lovatics Collection, which features an eyeshadow palette, lip + cheek stain, mascara and a brow pencil with none of the products costing more than $5 (!). NYC New York Color is known for its super affordable products, so it’s awesome to see a celeb joining forces with this brand to bring kickass makeup to the masses. What’s even better — and super unique — about this line is that the shades are intentionally neutral and wearable, so it’s a great line to consider if you’re into the natural look. Oh, and don’t expect to find any contouring or lip-plumping products in the Lovatics Collection. “It makes me so sad to see girls feel like they have to do that,” #nomakeupselfie queen Demi explained to Cosmopolitan.

The eyeshadow palette is what we’re most excited about. It features 12 gorgeous shades that’ll give you the ability to create a ton of different looks ranging from natural to dramatic. There are three pretty, light hues that would be great all over the lid and/or to highlight, three copper-y toned shades to contour your eyes with, three deeper brown shades that would work well as wet/dry liner and three deep shadows that can add intense definition. This is definitely a palette worth picking up — it just might be one of the more legit Urban Decay NAKED palette dupes we’ve seen.
