Now that we’ve officially marked our calendars for the month of December and we’ve gotten our first sneak peeks at the Gilmore Girls cast doing their thang, we’re ready for more finite details of the much-anticipated reboot, and guys? We’ve got some news.
Not only will there be a Stars Hollow musical happening in episode three (“Summer”), there’s some serious Broadway heavy hitters piling onboard. Tony-award winner Sutton Foster (who burst into tears during filming) is being tapped for the fictional musical’s lead, while fellow Tony winner Jeanine Tesori will be composing the score. Also appearing? Broadway favorite Kerry Butler, who recently tweeted an on-set selfie with this adorbs caption: “Living the dream working with Kelly Bishop and Lauren Graham on one of my all-time favorite shows.”
Awwww, we’re stoked for you, Kerry — can’t wait to see your debut!
