We are looking for an interaction designer with an eye for clean, minimal and forward-thinking design. You will work with engineers and product managers to create beautiful and user-friendly experiences on Brit + Co.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate around the creation of new and existing products and features
- Build and maintain product designs
- Work with engineers to implement beautiful user interfaces
Requirements:
- Mastery of design software
- Experience designing for mobile and/or web devices
- Strong communication skills
- Comfort working with engineers
- Ability to contribute to the entire design cycle
- A portfolio that you want to show off
Nice-to-haves:
- Any HTML/CSS experience is a huge plus. We’ll call you the ‘unicorn’ designer.
- Interest and experience in different types of design (e.g. product design, graphic design, etc)
- Photo/video editing skills
- Strong UX skills

We are working with Brit + Co. contributors on all kinds of articles and DIY projects. Whether you’re a crafter, chef, photographer, writer, tech nut, or style maven, we are interested in your ideas. This is not a paid position, but we are happy to promote you (and any projects you’re working on) on all of our social channels and on our site, and count you as one of our official contributors. Most of our contributors work remotely, but we are open to discussing coming into our SF office on a case by case basis.
