Seeing as the polar vortex is still chilling out folks across the country, it feels a little early to be talking about getting your BBQ on. But… the moment we saw the concept photos for this smart grill, we had to get more info!
The Lynx Concept Grill is a voice-activated smart grill that’s designed to automatically cook your foods based on your commands. That’s right. Simply talk to your grill from the comfort of your pool (a girl can dream, can’t she?!) to fire up the next batch of grilled pineapple skewers.
How does it do this? The grill is connected to an online database complete with information on ideal cooking times and temperatures for each ingredient you’re cooking. The grill will actually tell you where on the grill to place each item — veggie burgers on the left, pork shoulder on the top right, asparagus front left. For real.
As things get cooking, don’t worry about needing to play the role of sweaty grillmaster. Leave this smart grill to do the work — it’ll text you when your food’s ready! And as a safety precaution, the grill will automatically shut off if it doesn’t hear instructions for 30 minutes. How smart is that?
If you’ve been reading our site for a while, you know this type of innovation is totally our jam. The only bummer? This smarty pants grill isn’t set to come out until 2015. We’ll be the first to let you know when it does!
