It’s almost that time – our last evening in 2016. We will throw on our most sensational NYE attire according to our plans, prepare the best New Year’s hairstyle, and obviously, we will need a makeup look that lives up to all of the glam. Look no further ladies, this mixed metal eye is for all skin tones, all eye shapes and even better, for all occasions!
Prep: Glowing Skin, Flawless Face + Berry Pink Lips
Follow this tutorial here to get your base face. For an extra shimmering glow, apply luminous highlighter like Bodyography Radiance Boost Liquid Luminizer ($21) to your upper cheekbones, bridge of your nose, above your cupid’s bow and in the center of your lower forehead. Choose a berry pink lipstick like Bodyography Lipstick in Rico ($18) to your pucker for a bold, yet balanced lip to start this look.
Step 1: Pewter Smolder
Define the outside corners of your eyes on both the upper and lower lash line with a smaller fluffy brush using a pewter metallic eyeshadow like my latest obsession Bodyography Glitter Pigment in Soiree ($28). You can layer on for a really bold look or even use a light touch for something more subtle.
Step 2: Copper Center
Step 3: Golden Highlight
Finally, apply a golden hue like Bubbly from the Bodyography Glitter Pigments to the inside corners of your eyes blending both on the upper and lower lash line.
Finishing Touches: Liner + Mascara
Take this look to the edge by tight-lining both your upper and lower lash line all the way around the rims of your eyes. Curl your eyelashes and then apply a couple coats of your favorite mascara! You can opt for falsies if you’re really wanting to go big!
Look at all that sparkle!!!
Remember ladies, this is just your inspiration — truly you can make this look your own. Pro tip and note about these amazing pigments is that they are nearly impossible to apply wrong! You can even use your fingers and add to any other look you love.
