Ahhh, athleisure. We should all feel #blessed it exists because it allows us to chill hard in super comfy clothes intended for athletic workouts — even when we’re most def not working out. Tory Burch and Abercrombie + Fitch have recently gotten in on the athleisure action, but it’s been around for a while (come on, think about Lululemon!). It all started with yoga pants being worn to basically all activities other than yoga, and the rest is history (don’t fret men, this industry hasn’t forgotten about y’all either).
The latest athleisure line we can’t wait to kick it in comes from Pretty Little Liars’ star Shay Mitchell. Now, we all know the PLL ladies are uber stylish, but this launch takes Shay’s cool girl levels to an all-time high. Miss Mitchell secured a deal with Kohl’s (where Lauren Conrad also sells her line) to launch her comfy-casual collection. Kohl’s seems to really be stepping up their fashion collab game recently BTW.
The collection, dubbed Fit to Wander, will feature your typical athleisure suspects: sports bras, comfy, graphic Ts, leggings + fashion tanks. Shay, who’s known for her chic + edgy style, is stepping into a new territory with this casual line and we’re loving the bold move. Prices are very reasonable (yay!) and range from $24 — $48.
Fit to Wander is all about the details and Shay hasn’t forgotten that sometimes, its those extra-special accents that can really take an outfit to the next level. Her collection will feature thoughtful elements like leggings with adjustable waistbands, panels + seams that are placed in figure-flattering areas and sporty racer back straps for movement and flexibility. The detail we’re most excited (and appreciative) for in this line is the extended bust bands on bras because they reduce pesky garment shifting — score!
Props to Shay for making her mark on a new industry with an affordable, accessible + practical line at Kohl’s. Now excuse us as we try to convince HR that yoga pants + comfy sweats are appropriate five days a week ;)
