9 Stylist-Approved Hair Tools to Achieve Any Look

There are endless options to choose from when it comes to tools for your hair. As a professional hairstylist, I am often asked for my recommendations on my go-tos for looks that range from beach waves and top knots to more sophisticated updos. For this edition of our Beauty Fix Series, we’re taking a trip down the beauty aisle to bring you a one-stop shop for all things beauty tools.

Stylist Approved Hair Tools Edition

Tourmaline Technology: T3 Featherweight Luxe 2i ($250): First of all, this dryer is so light, which makes attempting to give yourself an at-home blow-out much more achievable. With a combination of tourmaline technology and an ion generator, this dryer quickly dries your hair (minus the heat damage), while reducing frizz and enhancing shine!

Curls + Beyond: Babylisspro Nano Titanium Spring Curling Iron ($50): I recommend this line of curling irons for any beginner because it’s light as a feather, has an extra long eight-foot, tangle-free cord, and the spring on the iron is easy to maneuver. This may seem like industry speak, but trust me: You will feel the difference. The technology in the barrel delivers negative ions to help smooth and shine your hair with each sweep of the wand.

Long Hair “Do Care”: Bio Ionic Long Barrel Curling Iron ($140): The selling point on this baby is the extra long barrel — two inches longer than your standard iron. This makes styling long hair a cinch! The nanolonic mineral hydrates and conditions hair.

Beauty + Brains: TYME Straightener + Curling Iron ($150): This unique iron has gold-plated titanium plates that heat up to 400-degrees Fahrenheit and can achieve any curl you desire — AND it can straighten your hair as well. This line also offers a virtual stylist that can help you with any questions you may have, which is super helpful and fun!

Straighten in a Hurry: T3 Singlepass Luxe Straightening + Styling Iron ($180 ): You’ll love this tool, especially if you’re a lady on-the-go! Whether you need to straighten or add some texture into your hair quickly, the technology featured in this wand is designed to deliver your style with one pass. Two minute hair anyone?

Major Volume: Sam Villa Signature Series Texture Professional Texturizing Iron ($120): Dry shampoo is one of the best things to happen to the hair industry, in my opinion — but this iron is next on that list! This beauty can increase the volume of your hair up to 3x. The tiny crimper plates create volume at your roots unlike anything else you have experienced. Major pro — this pick lasts you a few days.

Modern Maven: T3 Volumizing Hot Rollers Luxe ($119): When you think of hot rollers, if you’re anything like me, you may think of old-school grandma sets. Not so with this chic set of modern rollers. They’re so stunning, you’ll want to display them on your vanity! Great for short to long hair.

One Tool, Endless Possibilities: T3 Whirl Trio Interchangeable Barrels ($270): For the gal who needs many hair options, but isn’t interested in having a ton of tools, this is your new BFF. The base comes with three interchangeable wands (photographed above are some others you can purchase in addition to what comes in the set). From mermaid waves, to tousled waves and flipped ends, plus so much more, this trio has you covered. You can fit all three in a small travel bag and take on-the-go wherever — WINNING!

Texture Queen: Bed Head Textrovert Texturizing Iron ($35): This little device looks crazy, but gives you such a rad texture that is difficult to achieve with any other tool. The ultra thin, flat, clamp-free barrel distributes heat evenly and is shaped in a way that wrapping sections of your hair gives you sort of a bent, slept on, unkempt sexy hair texture.
