Today is proving to be a very good day in the royal baby department. First, we were hit with that adorable new photo of Prince George and his family, and now we’re reveling in this heartwarming photo of Prince Carl Philip and Princess Sofia of Sweden’s royal family and their newborn baby boy.
In a VERY official announcement, the Swedish Royal family announced the news on Instagram with a graphic of their family crest alongside the message, “Svante Lindqvist Riksmarskalk, The Marshal of the Realm is delighted to announce that HRH Princess Sofia gave birth to a healthy child on April 19 at 6.25 p.m at Danderyd Hospital. Both mother and child are in good health. Svante Lindqvist Marshal of the Realm.” Wow. Can we get whoever wrote this to introduce us every time we show up somewhere?
The family has yet to reveal the baby’s name, but you can bet we’re keeping a close eye on that. It’s been a big year for the Swedish royal fam — Crown Princess Victoria (Prince Carl Philip’s sister) and Prince Daniel of Sweden welcomed a baby boy just last month.
