This Out-of-Style Look Seems to Be Dominating the 2016 VMAs

It just so happens that, last week, Google released its report of the rising and falling trends of 2016 based on its own search data. As is logically the case, the more that people search for any one particular look, the more likely it is that said look is on the rise. Off-the-shoulder shirts? SO IN, and so Googled this year.

When searches for a certain style begin to decline, we can conclude that the style is no longer fuego and will soon be yesterday’s news — that is, if it isn’t already. Which is why we are shocked — shocked, we say! — to report that THE trend to dominate tonight’s VMAs has been one that Google, and therefore the world, has decided is pretty much over.
