The Best Makeup for Your Zodiac Sign: Scorpio Edition

Here’s to all of my fellow Scorpio sisters out there! It’s our birth month, and this time around for my zodiac beauty series, I got to step into the hot seat and share a makeup look inspired by Scorpio’s sensual, stubborn, playful and devoted astrological traits. Last month’s makeup inspo landed on Libra — with her sense of balance, reliability and harmony, she rocked a monochromatic mauve cat eye, berry cheek and bitten lip. This month, we’re stepping into a more sultry vibe inspired by the Scorpio-born but meant for all!

Scorpio Beauty Profile

Scorpios are best known for being loyal, determined and assertive… as well as possessive and stubborn. She may have her wild side, but it’s driven by a grounded sense of self, which is why she is so unwavering with her commitment to her truth. When it comes to this vixen’s beauty routine, she isn’t afraid to step it up with a smoldering pop of purple shadow paired with the simplicity of a golden glow and luminous skin topped with mega mascara to enhance her fluttering lashes — which she’ll use to persuade you into submission.

Get the Look For Scorpio: Flawless Foundation and a Golden Glow Paired With A Pop of Purple Shadow + Pretty Pout

Prep – Flawless Face With Golden Glow: First, follow our flawless face base makeup tutorial. This look is all about that golden glow, so layer your favorite bronzer like NU Evolution Bronzer ($45) over your foundation — try NU Evolution Complete Coverage Foundation ($47). This is an ingredient-conscious makeup line offering up high-quality products that you can get behind.

Step 1 – Pop of Purple Shadow: This look works for day or night, so grab a bright purple shadow like NU Evolution Matte & Bold Berry Purple Shadow ($25) and layer it into the outer creases of your eyes and along the lower lash line, and slightly smudge a bit onto your eyelids. I like to apply this particular shadow with my fingertip to get that beautifully imperfect smoldering effect.

Step 2 – Bright Blush + Luminous Highlight: Enhance your cheekbones with a bright pink blush, like NU Evolution Blush in Flushed ($28) and brighten by applying a luminous highlighter like Juice Beauty Photo-Pygments Illuminating Primer ($36) to your upper cheekbones, the bridge of your nose and your brow bones.

Finishing Touches – Mega Mascara + Pretty Pout: Apply a neutral lip color, like my latest obsession LUK Tangerine Pomegranate Lip Nourish ($25). This universal shade is not only beautiful, but it’s also made with so much love and mindful ingredients (hello, cold-pressed organic tangerines and vanilla bean oils!) Take this look home with mega mascara — layer up on Juice Beauty Phyto-Pigments Ultra Natural Mascara ($22).

Remember, beauties — this look may be inspired by Scorpio and her astrological traits, but anyone can rock this sultry look, any day of the week! Please share with us when you do ;)
