While pretty much anyone who’s ever heard one of her songs is used to being moved by Adele’s beyond beautiful voice and knows well of her love for pulling fans up on stage (as well as, ya know, forgetting the words to her own songs), the singer herself is not usually shocked during one of her own concerts. But when she recently brought Jamie-Grace up into the spotlight, the “Hello” singer was totally blown away by what happened.
Jamie-Grace posted the clip to Facebook with the adorable caption, “Adele Invites Fan Up to Sing with Her – oh btw… It was me…” Jumping in on Adele’s “Remedy,” the young singer faltered on a few lines, but Adele encouraged her to keep going, saying, “Sing some more. Sing anything you want.”
That’s when the 22-year-old Georgia native (who just happened to be nominated for the Best Contemporary Christian Music Song Grammy for “Hold Me” featuring tobyMac AND won the Dove Award for New Artist of the Year) belted out Elvis Presley’s “Can’t Help Falling in Love.”
Considering this was a totally unexpected, impromptu performance just makes it all that much more impressive. Keeping singing, girl! That amazing voice deserves to be heard.
