5 Seconds of Summer’s Michael Clifford Is Engaged to Crystal Leigh!
A member of 5 Seconds of Summer is planning a lifetime of happiness! Michael Clifford revealed that he and his longtime girlfriend, model Crystal Leigh, are engaged, and even shared some adorable snaps of how the proposal went down.
“I was lucky enough to ask the love of my life to marry me in the place it all began for us,” Clifford wrote on social media. “In the last 3 years she has helped evolve and shape who I am in ways I could never have imagined. I couldn’t ask for anyone better to spend the rest of my life with. I love loving you, Crystal.”
Along with the sweet message for his bride-to-be, the 5SOS lead guitarist shared three photos of the moment he proposed. In the first, an emotional Leigh covers her surprised and teary face as she shows off her gorgeous diamond engagement ring. In the second, Clifford is shown down on one knee as his fiancée stands in front of a coastal overlook at the Ungasan Clifftop Resort in Bali at sunset.
In the third, the happy couple celebrate their engagement on a blanket surrounded by romantic photos, wine, and snacks.
According to Us Weekly, the location holds special meaning for the couple, who shared their first kiss at the same resort three years ago. The proposal happened during a vacation with friends, including actresses Crystal Westbrooks and Michele Maturo and model Sommer Ray. Afterward, the group celebrated the engagement with dinner, courtesy of Australian chef James Viles.
