Adele Just Gave Us a Glimpse into Her Future As a White-Haired Granny
Try as we might to live in the moment, we can never quite resist a peek into the future: even a hypothetical one. The release of FaceApp, for instance, has left us scrambling to get a peek at our “older selves,” as it transforms our selfies with the wrinkles of our smooth-skin nightmares.
In case you’ve been comparing your own headshots to those of celebs on the app to see if they’ve fared any better, however (guilty), look no further: Adele has just done the groundwork for you.
For her 29thbirthday, the star forwent her signature glam look, opting instead for a grandmother-like makeunder that had us LOL-ing at her ever-cheeky antics. Posting a collage of the granny-inspired shots to her social media pages, the usually flawless-faced singer is seen with wiry white roots, a uncharacteristically colorful cardi, and chained glasses, making her appear to be two times her actual age.
“Nearly 30!” she wrote. “Thanks for the well wishes. See you soon x”
While it’s a far cry from her signature stunning face of makeup (which you can cop with these nine products), we’ve gotta say — we kinda’ like Granny Adele. She looks happy and fun-loving, and frankly, we’d expect nothing less from our girl in her “old” age.
