This Apple Employee Has the Best Baby Announcement Yet
It’s tough being a new parent these days. You have to know which crazy expensive stroller to buy, you have to have a whole new set of apps downloaded and social networks to share to, you gotta have, you know, a name picked out AND you have to figure out the most creative way to introduce your newborn to the world wide web. Well, take note, Apple enthusiasts: This former Apple employee dropped the mic (er, pacifier?) with a baby announcement that might even put the iPhone 6 unveiling to shame.
Using a website that perfectly mirrors a product page for an iPad or other Apple innovation, Andreas Kleinke announced the birth of his son Jonathan — aka “the brand new mini.”
The adorable description of the new addition to the Kleinke family reads: The brand new Jonathan (Mid-2014) features a 20-inch seamless unibody enclosure made from a single, solid block of beauty. Ten meticulously aligned fingers deliver the perfect multi-touch experience. Plus, he comes fully equipped with not just one but two iSight cameras, each delivering images in stunning Retina resolution. Dual microphones on both sides catch every sound. And the centrally placed loudspeaker will simply blow you away, with maximum volume going all the way up to 120 dB.
Um, L-OMG-L, that is incredible. The site details Kleinke’s baby boy in the same breathless way all Apple products are brought into the world. You can practically see and hear the hypnotic, goosebump-inducing commercial with that same calm man speaking over it, can’t you?!
The site lists Jonathan’s specs and the bundle o’ joy’s built-in apps — iEat, iSleep and iPoop for now, with the promise that iWalk and iTalk “will be downloaded and installed automatically when ready, free of charge.” There’s no date on the calendar for that just yet, but we’re projecting those upgrades should be unveiled Q2 of next year.
Baby announcements can’t just be cute these days, they have to be clever too. Hey, if you’re going to post it online, it has to get more Likes than the portrait studio pics your cousin/old high school frenemy posted, right? Sure, it takes a little Apple know-how to nail the iBaby announcement like so (Kleinke was a training manager for Apple Care, after all), but we believe in your creative abilities, new ‘rents! ‘Til the idea strikes, we’ll keep you updated on any amazing ones we click across ;)
