Watch The Bachelorette’s DeMario Jackson Try to Get Britney Spears’ Number Back in 2008
DeMario Jackson has quickly become very well known among Bachelor fans. After he was sent packing by The Bachelorette’s Rachel Lindsay amid cheating accusations, he found himself caught up in the whole Bachelor in Paradise scandal. But he started making waves long before his rise to reality TV fame. In 2008, he tried to hit on Britney Spears in an awkward moment that was caught on tape and has now resurfaced.
Back when Spears’ every step was being documented by paparazzi, the photogs caught up with the pop star after she’d apparently picked up a few groceries and was trying to get into her car. As she packed her bags in the trunk and politely fielded their (pretty invasive) questions, a voice called out to her from off-camera.
Spears smiled as the paps clicked away and the man told her to take down his number. When she asked his name, he said, “DeMario Jackson.” And if we had any doubts that it was actually him, the camera then turned around and showed him trying to keep Spears’ attention, even offering up his MySpace URL.
“I’m an up-and-coming actor. I want to be like you. I want everybody to see me on TV. Real talk. You’re dope,” he told her. “My mom loves you, and she said tell Britney.”
