Bella Hadid Nails Spring 2017’s Prettiest Trend That You Can Wear Now

It’s a fact: Models set trends (see: Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and hot pink, or Karolina Kurkova and her gown/bomber jacket combo). But it’s really, *really* impressive when they set trends so far in advance, they’re seasons ahead.

Case in point: Bella Hadid walked in a runway show in Milan in the hottest trend for Spring 2017 — ruffles. Her ruffled skirt was regrammed countless times, and the trend started showing up in other runway shows, in street style shots, and has already proven to be a small trend this fall. The good news is, you don’t have to wait until March to get the look.

Keep the bare legs going as long as you can in a sweet little ruffled slip dress, but throw a tough gal jacket on over it to keep the chill away. A neutral gray bag and rose gold earrings make it a lovely outfit, while the red heels turn it up to 100.

Ruffles don’t always have to be on bad ‘80s dresses — they look pretty great on sweaters and blouses too. This satin one from H&M is a great option with jeans for brunch, but you can also take it to work with some mustard colored trousers and a bold bib necklace. Beige accessories round it out and help make it even more office appropriate.

The sweater dress is the cold weather equivalent of the summer sundress — what to wear when you’re too dang lazy to think about multiple pieces. Slip on some glittered sneakers, a hands-free cross-body bag and a light and fun link necklace to complete the look.
