If you’re still squealing over those photos of Prince George’s first day of school you should know you’re not alone. Prince George and his sister Princess Charlotte are kind of the most adorable royals to ever have existed — until now. It looks as though the little English kiddos just might have some new competition in the cuteness department from the newborn Prince of Bhutan.
Bhutan’s newest royal was born on February 5 and is the son of King Jigme and Queen Jetsun. As is customary in Bhutan, the baby’s name has yet to be reveiled. In honor of Jigme’s 36th birthday, his Facebook page decided to share a few heartwarming photos of him and his growing family. Accompanying the photo collection is a sweet message that reads, “As we offer our humble love and wishes, we also rejoice, knowing that on this special year, His Majesty has the exceptional, personal happiness of being a parent.”
In this Buddhist kingdom located on the Himalayas’ eastern edge, Jigme and Jetsun are sometimes referred to as the “Will and Kate of Bhutan.” The two were married back in 2011. Jigme became King back in 2008 after his father renounced the throne.
Congrats to the happy couple and you can bet we’ll be checking back for the baby name.
