Brit + Co’s Weekly Entertainment Planner: ‘Station 19’ Premieres, Beyoncé and Jay-Z Tickets On Sale, and More!
Welcome to Brit + Co’s Weekly Entertainment Planner! Each Monday, we highlight one thing we’re excited about in six categories — movies, TV, music, streaming services, podcasts, and a bonus pick from all of the above — to help you navigate your week in watching and listening. Check out our picks for the week of March 19-25 below. Your eyes and your ears will thank us!
Movies
Midnight Sun (March 23): Bella Thorne stars as Katie Price, a 17-year-old with a life-threatening sensitivity to sunlight that forces her out of her home only when it’s dark. It’s there that she meets and is wooed by her longtime crush, Charlie (Patrick Schwarzenegger), who shows her a summer of nighttime adventures. This one is sure to be a tearjerker. TV
Station 19 (March 22): The long-awaited premiere of the Grey’s Anatomy firefighter spinoff is finally here! ABC has already teased a little of what we can expect with a crossover episode earlier this month, and based on the trailer, we know there’ll be plenty of action and drama — not to mention a new hero in Jaina Lee Ortiz’s character Andy Herrera — making its way to the TGIT lineup starting on March 22 at 9 pm ET. Streaming
Santa Claria Diet season 2 (March 23): Sheila and Joel Hammond (Drew Barrymore and Timothy Olyphant) try to put on normal faces as they work to figure out how, exactly, Sheila got infected with the virus that turned her into a zombie — but with her taste for blood just growing, it’s easier said than done. Podcasts
The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel Goys: Kevin T. Porter and Demi Adejuyigbe, who did an episode-by-episode breakdown of the entire Gilmore Girlsseries on their Gilmore Guys podcast, have turned their joint attention to Amy Sherman-Palladino’s lastest creation, the Marvelous Mrs. Maisel. Considering we already can’t wait for the second season, we’re so glad the Maisel Goys are on it. (Photo via Amazon Studios)
Music
Round two of Beyoncé and JAY-Z’s On the Run II tour tickets on sale (March 23): Get your credit cards ready and set those alarms: the follow-up to the husband-and-wife team’s blockbuster 2014 On The Run tour was announced last week, and while most of the tour dates’ tickets went on sale on March 19, tickets for some of the duo’s European tour stops get their official release on Friday, March 23. What better reason to book a European vacation than to see Bey and Jay hit the stage on the other side of the world? (Photo by Kevin Mazur/Getty Images for Clara Lionel Fo)
Bonus
RuPaul’s Drag Race season 10 premiere (March 22): With another lineup of killer queens set to compete and a star-studded guest lineup that includes Shania Twain, Christina Aguilera, Billy Eichner, and more, it might be one of the biggest and best seasons yet.
