Chip and Joanna Gaines welcomed a baby boy into their family at the end of June, bringing the number of kids in their household to five. A lot has changed since the former Fixer Upper stars brought home their eldest 13 years ago, but Chip is making sure at least one thing stays the same for newborn son Crew, by continuing a tradition he started with their first child, Drake.
On Thursday, July 5, Joanna shared a picture of her infant son snoozing on his dad’s lap. And while you can’t see Chip’s face, you can see what’s on his wrist: a hospital bracelet. “Chip started a tradition with Drake where he wore the hospital bracelet until it fell off… looks like the tradition lives on,” Joanna explained in the caption.
In addition to Drake and Crew, Chip and Joanna are also the proud parents of 11-year-old Ella, nine-year-old Duke, and eight-year-old Emmie Kay.
Crew’s older siblings have eagerly welcomed their new brother into the family. Soon after his arrival, Joanna posted a pic of the four older children waiting outside of her hospital room, writing, “One of my favorite pics a friend showed me after Crew was born. They couldn’t wait to meet their new baby brother.”
After the Gaineses brought the newborn home, Joanna posted another pic showing Ella and Emmie Kay “stargazing” with Crew in a beautiful scene in their idyllic yard.
