Classics are classics for a reason; they stand the test of time and are beloved by many. So if you’re going to mess with a good thing, it better be outstanding. Converse has had a successful track record with mixing up their staples, like custom Vans or Flyknit Converse, and now they’re going designer. The company is teaming up with JW Anderson for a shimmery update to your favorite sneaks.
The avant-garde British label and the footwear giant posted a sneak peek of the upcoming collab on their respective Instagram accounts, and eek! The result is big, bold, and glittery all over.
The styles that are tapped for the glamour treatment include the classic One Stars and, of course, the iconic Chuck Taylors. There are also more toned-down tan and denim options, but honestly, for us, we’re excited for the sparkly ones ;)
The collection is expected to drop this fall, although there’s no word yet on an exact release date or how much they’ll cost. However, seeing as JW Anderson’s White Canvas Trainers will run you $595 and a pair of Converse High Tops costs $55, it’s a safe bet that the price tag will be somewhere between the two (fingers crossed, anyway).
