This Couple’s Disney Wedding Showcased a Different Movie in EVERY Centerpiece
A Disney-themed wedding is #goals for many of us, but one bride and groom took the idea to an entirely new level. It’s one thing to showcase your love for Disney with a DIY couples costume, but — get this — Ty Junemann and Ashley Idema designed EVERY centerpiece at their reception around a different Disney movie. The two got engaged next to Sleeping Beauty’s castle, and the Disney love just got bigger and better from there.
The Beauty and the Beast-themed table was arguably the most impressive, with a wilting pink rose bound by twinkling lights showcased in a gold dome display just like the one in the movie. Mrs. Potts and Lumiere stand guard too, keeping the entire look completely whimsical and on theme.
Another table was designed in a Cinderella theme. The Disney-ness of this table is a little more understated, but the elegant style is super obvious. A golden pumpkin carriage is flanked by mercury glass pumpkins in shades of silver and gold.
A table we can only assume to be Snow White-themed featured a green patch of “grass” topped with the Wicked Queen’s mirror and a set of five red apples.
Little Mermaid lovers will adore the table themed after this classic. It was layered with elegant fisherman’s netting and topped with a sparkly silver candelabra holding a spoon, a knife and a dinglehopper. Starfish were also scattered around the table for extra effect.
Of course, the couple wouldn’t skip Sleeping Beauty, having gotten engaged next to her castle and all. The head table featured a large dollhouse-like model of Sleeping Beauty’s castle, handmade by the bride’s sister. She also fashioned two wing-back chairs inspired by Up! to top the couple’s wedding cake.
Congrats to the happy couple!
