You Won’t Believe These Dreamy Paintings Aren’t Photographs
These epic portraits could easily pass for highly stylized photographs. But take a closer look and you’ll see they’re crafted by the meticulous hand of Oriol Angrill Jordà. Spanish-born but currently residing in London, his current art series features a hand-painted, double-exposure effect, like something done in Photoshop or deep inside a dark room. The result is nothing short of spectacular.
On his website, Oriol writes, “I’ve always been a bad student, and I had a fervent tendency to distractions,” recounting how he used to waste time staring at light and shade, “following the flight of a fly or how the pencil fell down while I was pushing the table up with my feet.” Between these dreamy, mountainous silhouettes, starry eyes and rosy updos, we don’t think that was time wasted at all.
Amazing, right? If you want to see more, Oriol shares videos of his painting process on his YouTube channel, and his pieces are available for purchase on his website.
