Ed Sheeran Just Gave Taylor Swift’s BF Joe Alwyn His Stamp of Approval
Taylor Swift may or may not be using her latest song, “Gorgeous,” to let us in on the details of her relationship with boyfriend Joe Alwyn, but beyond that, she’s kept things between the pair relatively private. One of the pop star’s besties, Ed Sheeran, was perfectly willing to share his views on the new man on the scene however, giving the actor a solid vote of approval.
The “Shape of You” performer — who has currently put his ÷ tour on hold due to TWO fractured arms — sat down for an interview with Roman Kemp on Capital Breakfast and had only nice things to say about Alwyn. The British actor known for his role in Billy Lynn’s Long Halftime Walk has apparently been dating his “Bad Blood” lady since before the spring, and Sheeran, 26, is a fan. “He’s really nice,” he said, adding, “Really, really friendly, really good dude.”
The Game of Thrones guest star also revealed that he’s been privy to their blossoming romance because of the actor’s base in England. “We’re in touch, quite a fair bit, you know, and she’s been in London quite a bit as well,” the songstress’s friend said.
Though the “Galway Girl” crooner didn’t seem keen to go into any further details about the celeb couple, his statements seemed to echo sentiments made by Taylor’s OTHER BFF, Selena Gomez, who offered up her thoughts on the pair back in June. “Honestly, if my friends are happy, that makes me happy,” she told Sirius XM’s The Morning Monday Mashup. “That’s all I care about. So, I’m super stoked too. It’s been a good time.”
As for the “…Ready for It?” crooner’s long-awaited full-length album, Reputation, the red-head also gave it a vote of confidence, claiming, “The songs are great. I think people will like the album.”
If it’s anything like the first singles, we’d certainly be inclined to agree!
