They light up reading nooks, entryways and bedside tables, and while their illuminating capabilities are all well and good, it鈥檚 about time that lamps stepped up their functionality game and bring something else to the table鈥

Swedish design house Note Design Studio is the creator of the Fuse Table and Floor Lamps, and we want one in every room in our apartment. The unfinished wood and soft ceramic make this part-table/part-lamp especially inviting. The lamps鈥 smooth curves and cylindrical shape are what Note calls 鈥渁 perfect marriage of traditional Italian craftsmanship and Nordic simplicity.鈥

We probably don鈥檛 need to tell you how incredibly useful this double-duty piece of furniture would be. The table version is, of course, perfect for keys and pocket change, while the smaller bedside table version could be home to your reading glasses, water glass and alarm clock.

We鈥檙e always on the lookout for clever multifunctional furniture, and somehow the lamp had slipped through the cracks. But not any more. If you like the design of this lamp, you should also check out Note鈥檚 Fuse Pendant Lamp series. Holiday wish list material.

How would you use a Fuse? Let us know in the comments!
