This Lamp Does Double Duty as a Table
They light up reading nooks, entryways and bedside tables, and while their illuminating capabilities are all well and good, it’s about time that lamps stepped up their functionality game and bring something else to the table…
Swedish design house Note Design Studio is the creator of the Fuse Table and Floor Lamps, and we want one in every room in our apartment. The unfinished wood and soft ceramic make this part-table/part-lamp especially inviting. The lamps’ smooth curves and cylindrical shape are what Note calls “a perfect marriage of traditional Italian craftsmanship and Nordic simplicity.”
We probably don’t need to tell you how incredibly useful this double-duty piece of furniture would be. The table version is, of course, perfect for keys and pocket change, while the smaller bedside table version could be home to your reading glasses, water glass and alarm clock.
We’re always on the lookout for clever multifunctional furniture, and somehow the lamp had slipped through the cracks. But not any more. If you like the design of this lamp, you should also check out Note’s Fuse Pendant Lamp series. Holiday wish list material.
