The Brand Behind Those Free Leggings Is Back With a Full Collection

With new activewear brands popping up at an explosive rate these days, it’s getting harder and harder to stand out from the pack. So when Girlfriend Collective launched in 2016 and started spreading the word that their eco-friendly black leggings were free, the internet lost its mind. The campaign quickly went viral, and the genius marketing plan was exactly what Girlfriend Collective needed to get their name on everyone’s radar. Unfortunately that promotion has ended, but the good news is that Girlfriend Collective has now launched a full collection of their famous leggings in different styles and colors.

While the original black leggings might still be our go-tos (can you ever have too many pairs of perfect black leggings?), their newly launched colors ranging from neutral white to vibrant apricot are also to die for. The leggings come in two styles — high-rise and mid-rise — as well as two different lengths — 3/4 length ($58) and full-length ($68). Girlfriend Collective has also launched two styles of bras that are available in the same colors as the leggings. The Paloma Bra and the Topanga Bra both retail for $38.

It wasn’t just the promise of free leggings that put the brand on the map, though. Their leggings are made in a fair-trade facility in Vietnam that recycles water bottles into soft, sheer-proof fabric that combines comfort with performance. They also value transparency and have laid out the entire manufacturing process and policies on their website (read all about it here).

Another reason to love Girlfriend Collective is their diverse choice of models for their ad campaign. Featuring women of all sizes, shapes, and heights helps customers see exactly how these styles would fit on a body type similar to theirs.

At the moment, all these styles are available for pre-order in limited stock, until the entire collection is up for grabs. Girlfriend Collective has promised many more colors and styles in the future, so follow their Instagram @girlfriendcollective to stay up to date on their newest releases.
