This Cult Fave Beauty Product Is Becoming an Actual Ice Cream Flavor
If you were already excited about the launch of Glossier‘s new Balm DotCom Trio (check out this beauty newbie review of Glossier to amp up your enthusiasm for the number one no-make-up collection brand), then you’ll freak out over this week’s Glossier foodie news. Yes, the cult beauty gurus are giving you the chance to actually TASTE the newest product flavors. No, you won’t be licking up lip gloss or snacking on skincare salves, but instead will get the chance to try out yummy Glossier-inspired ice cream.
Three new flavors — cherry, mint and rose — of Balm DotCom ($30), described by Glossier as “a hydrating, long-lasting, do-everything skin salve” that comes in a 15ml tube, became available this past Monday. As wonderful as these sound for our skin, our tongues want a taste, which is why if you happen to be around NYC’s Lower East Side any time this month, you can stop by Morgenstern’s Finest Ice Cream to grab yourself a scoop of the special-edition Glossier ice cream flavors. The first 20 people to grab a treat will also nab themselves a free tube of balm. Woo!
According to New York Racked, Glossier founder Emily Weiss addressed the excitement at their latest launch, saying, “The response and feedback was overwhelming. People have been hoarding this; they say it smells like vacation in a tube.” Vacation + ice cream + Glossier? We’re so in!
