Here’s How to Score FREE Starbucks Macchiatos This Week
Starbucks is apparently on a mission to make this sizzling-hot season a special one. First they debuted the Iced Piña Colada Tea Infusion (one of the many delicious-sounding summer drinks we’ve been salivating over), and now they want to give you FREE macchiatos. Yes, please!
The brand announced the limited-time offer on Facebook. Dubbed “Meet for Macchiatos,” the campaign wants you to do just that: Grab your besties and head to the nearest Starbucks, and when one of you buys a macchiato, you’ll get a second one for free. The event is in honor of International Friendship Day on August 6. “We’re making [International Friendship Day] an extended weekend celebration,” a note on the Starbucks website reads. “Grab a friend and come in to enjoy this signature drink with its cool milk and perfectly balanced layers of espresso.” Sounds good to us!

The deal is available exclusively to US customers and only from tomorrow, August 3, through Monday, August 7, between the hours of 2pm and 5pm. It definitely sounds like the perfect afternoon outing for you and your macchiato-lovin’ pals.
Now the only question is whether to order an Iced Coconut Milk Mocha Macchiato (chilled Sumatran coconut milk with white chocolate mocha and espresso roast, combined with caramel drizzle and a swirl of mocha) or an Iced Caramel Macchiato (a combination of espresso, vanilla-flavored syrup, milk, and ice, topped off with caramel drizzle).
Or perhaps you’d rather sip an Iced Cinnamon Almond Milk Macchiato (a dairy-free drink featuring cinnamon dolce syrup and a caramel drizzle) or a Latte Macchiato (which includes just two simple ingredients, espresso and milk — “steamed whole milk that is perfectly aerated and free-poured, creating dense foam reminiscent of meringue”).
Whichever you choose, be sure to bring along a friend on your next coffee run!
