Jenna Dewan Removes ‘Tatum’ From Her Social Media Handles Following Her Split from Channing Tatum
When Jenna Dewan took to social media following her split from Channing Tatum after nearly nine years of marriage, it was to thank fans for the love that they had been showing her. But now, the dancer, actress, and television personality has used social media to take another step towards solidifying the break-up by changing her name on both Twitter and Instagram.
The Step Up star’s handles on both popular platforms have always been @jennadewan, but previously she listed her name in the bio area as Jenna Dewan Tatum. As of today, Thursday, April 19, she’s removed Tatum and is now listed as Jenna Dewan.
However, there’s no reason to believe that there’s any negativity behind her decision to change her name on social media. In fact, just the day before, when the actress posted a pic of herself laughing in lingerie, Channing Tatum gave the image a like. That same day, Dewan released a new video on her YouTube page featuring a lovely beach dance which she captioned, “Inspired by this cove, this song, and voila! Love love love xx”
The former couple, who share a four-year-old daughter named Everly, has seemingly remained friendly throughout the split, announcing that they were choosing to “lovingly” separate. Their joint statement added, “We fell deeply in love so many years ago and have had a magical journey together. Absolutely nothing has changed about how much we love one another, but love is a beautiful adventure that is taking us on different paths for now. There are no secrets nor salacious events at the root of our decision — just two best friends realizing it’s time to take some space and help each other live the most joyous, fulfilled lives as possible.”
