Kate Middleton’s Favorite Designer Jenny Packham Just Got Married in a Super Non-Traditional Gown
If the name Jenny Packham sounds familiar it might be because her designs have been spotted on Kate Middleton during some of the Duchess’ most photographed moments. The English designer was behind both of the outfits Kate sported when first presenting her kids to the public in front of London’s St. Mary’s Hospital, as well a handful of red carpet appearances.
In a photo Jenny shared on Instagram of her special day, she’s seen sporting a modest gray midi dress featuring three-quarter length sleeves and intricate lace. The number is subtle, low-key and definitely a surprising pick considering her coveted bridal line features mostly classic white gowns with super delicate, ladylike touches.
The being said, there tends to be a common theme of designers having a personal style that’s somewhat different from their brand’s. Packham’s ceremony was reportedly an intimate affair witnessed by close friends and family, with additional guests invited for dinner and dancing at the Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park hotel in London. This non-traditional dress seems like it fit the event just right.
