Kesha Has This Cheeky Thing to Say to Body Shamers
Following far too long of a break from the spotlight and a grueling journey of strength, Kesha has once again found her voice, as she proved just weeks ago at the Billboard Music Awards with her totally badass Bob Dylan tribute.
Now, she’s using it to tell haters, particularly of the body shaming (which, for the record, can actually make you sick) variety, to, well, kiss her a**.
Posting this photo of herself in the ocean with her bum pointed at the camera, she calls out an online bully by saying, “I see that you would very much like me to know that you think I’m ugly, and also a whore. Well, I understand your opinion, but I disagree. I’m not perfect, but I’m pretty f**cking magical…Also, bullying someone who has struggled publically with body issues is pretty mean. Thank God I’m in a place in my life where I feel empowered to address your nasty comments instead of letting them destroy me. So. On behalf of anyone, anywhere who struggles with body image, STOP IT. My body is not your business. Kiss my magical imperfect a**.”

I'm not perfect but I'm pretty fucking magical. and also, I am not, in fact, a whore. also bullying someone who has struggled publicly with body issues is pretty mean. thank god I'm in a place in my life where I feel empowered to address your nasty comments instead of letting them destroy me. so. on behalf of anyone anywhere who struggles with body image, STOP IT. my body is not your business. ✨in conclusion, kiss my magical imperfect ass 💋❤️✌🏼️💅

Wow. It’s a speech we might expect from oh, say, Chrissy Teigen (who couldn’t care less what you think of her parenting skills, PS) or Amy Schumer, with her angry letter to Glamour magazine for their choice of descriptive words, but we have to say, we’re pretty proud of Kesha RN.
Girl seems to be living her best life, and we, for one, are sublimely happy for her.
What do you think of Kesha’s bold words? Tell us over @BritandCo!
