Kim Kardashian Doesn’t Think She’d Have Kanye West or the Kids If It Weren’t for “KUWTK”

The Kardashian-Jenner family has been teasing us with nostalgic looks back at Keeping Up With the Kardashians as the show prepares to celebrate its 10th anniversary. And while each member of the crew undeniably owes a lot to their fame, Kim Kardashian West feels especially grateful and admitted that she doesn’t think she’d be married to her husband, Kanye West, or have her kids, North and Saint West, if it weren’t for KUWTK.
“Even my worst experiences, I feel like have taught me so much,” the 36-year-old said while sitting down for an interview with Today‘s Megyn Kelly with her mother, Kris Jenner, and sisters Kourtney, Khloe, and Kendall. She added that without the show, she doesn’t think she would’ve met her husband. “I wouldn’t have my babies,” she told Kelly.
While that’s definitely strange to consider — can you imagine a world without Kimye and their adorable kids?! — she probably has a point. It was the reality show’s success that first launched the Kardashian-Jenners into superstardom, which led to them socializing regularly with the industry’s elite (including West).

The mother-of-two also credited the series for giving her family some amazing adventures and unexpected opportunities that they wouldn’t have had otherwise. “We’ve traveled the world. I don’t think we ever would’ve been to the places that we’ve been to [without the show].”
Even beyond that, she feels that the entire reality TV experience has been a positive one for her family and for their fans. “I think we’ve honestly, through our show, we’ve shown so much more positive things,” she said, citing Caitlyn Jenner’s transition as an example. “[The haters] only want to focus on, ‘Oh, they’re superficial. Oh, they’re wearing makeup. Oh, they’re this.'”
The KarJenners plan to keep their reality TV empire going for at least a little while longer, but as matriarch Kris Jenner explained, it can’t go on forever. “I think that it’s going to come to an end sooner or later,” she told Kelly. “It’s something that we’ve enjoyed doing together as a family for so long. And it’s been such a blessing that I think we would have the best home movies ever of life and have some really amazing memories.”
