Kris Allen Welcomes a Baby Girl With a Sweet Summer Name
There’s quite the baby boom happening in Hollywood right now, with Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds welcoming their second little one soon and Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher also expecting baby #2. Then, of course, there’s Adam Levine and Behati Prinsloo expecting their first little one and enjoying all kinds of baby bump pics along the way, while joining Audrina Patridge, who takes her growing belly shots to unbelievable new heights. Now, American Idol season eight winner, Kris Allen, has jumped on the baby bandwagon by welcoming his first child with wife and high school sweetheart, Katy.
Posting a pic of the new arrival to Instagram, 30-year-old Kris added the ecstatic caption, “It’s A Girl!! Welcome to the world Rosie. Oh man…I am done. She’s already got me figured out I think. Excuse me while I go learn how to braid hair on YouTube for the next 13 years…cuz that’s how long it’s gonna take me. #itsagirl #rosie.”

Rosie? So sweet! Rose Elizabeth Allen, to be exact. The perfect summer name for a perfect summer baby. And braid hair? Oh geez, Kris already has the adorable dad vibe down.
Welcomed into the world this past Saturday, the little one can be seen looking adorably angelic in her bowed-hospital cap, all bundled up in a butterfly blankie.
Congratulations, Kris and Katy! And welcome to the world, little Rosie!
