Kylie Jenner Reveals She’s Terrified of Butterflies
We could tell you a lot about Kylie Jenner, like why she’s decided to ditch her famous wigs or how she really feels about her breakup with Tyga. We could even tell you about the surprising detail she just admitted about her relationship with sister Kendall Jenner. But what we didn’t know is that Kylie has a rather unusual phobia: She’s totally terrified of butterflies.
Visiting the Butterfly Paradise exhibit at the London Zoo to film Life of Kylie might have seemed like an ideal opportunity to grab some dreamy footage featuring one of the world’s most beloved creatures — the butterfly, not Kylie — but it prompted a rather unusual reaction from the reality star. And in a new clip from the series, we get to see why.
As soon as the group steps into the beautiful bug-filled sanctuary, we hear Jenner’s assistant, Victoria, exclaim, “Wait, WHAT?!” And while Jenner’s bestie, Jordyn Woods, is totally into the experience — even holding out a finger and calling out to the little critters, “Can you land on me butterfly? I’m ready!” — the star of the show has the exact OPPOSITE instinct.
“Butterflies are just a part of the secrets of Kylie. It’s kind of just ironic because I’m terrified, TERRIFIED of butterflies,” she admits in a confessional. When a slightly shocked voice off-screen asks if she’s scared of all butterflies, the 20-year-old assures them, “ALL butterflies.”
Though the kind lady at the zoo tries to remind her that the tiny creatures don’t bite, Jenner has a fairly straightforward explanation for her feelings, telling the camera, “This is how I think of them: Cut the wings off and if you just look at their bodies, they’re not that pretty.”
