This Is a Lip-Plumping Makeup Hack That *Actually* Works
Having full lips seems to always be sought after, especially recently — Kylie Jenner, we’re looking at you. There are a bunch of different ways to achieve a plumper pout, from tingly lip products to DIY tips and tricks to make them appear fuller, but this new makeup hack we clicked across on TODAY.com will blow your mind and totally change up your going-out makeup routine.
You’ll need a nude skin-toned lip pencil, a lip liner, a fave lipstick and a lipgloss to nail this look. To start, use a nude, skin-toned pencil to line slightly outside your natural lip line and cupid’s bow. This has a slight highlighting effect that will make your lips stand out, which is what we’re going for, right?!
Then, use a neutral shade lip liner and line your lips — don’t let the nude pencil blend in with this one. Swipe on the lipstick of your choice and then, using the nude/skin-toned pencil, highlight the middle of your upper and lower lip. Top it all off with a little lip gloss, applied mostly to the center of your lips. The nude lip pencil and gloss draw attention to the center of your lips, making them appear plumper.
This is a super simple way to naturally enhance your lips without having to go through that burning sensation from tingly lip products ;)
Makeup artists from Rouge NY demo it in a super helpful GIF on TODAY’s site if you want the play-by-play (it’s pretty cool!). XOXO, y’all!
