Nicole Kidman, Milo Ventimiglia, and More Love the Spice Girls As Much As We Do
The Spice Girls‘ debut song “Wannabe” is turning 21 years old on July 8, and while you may choose to celebrate by dusting off your platform boots for a girl power-themed party and praying for that BSB x Spice Girls tour, Nicole Kidman, James Franco, Milo Ventimiglia, and more celebs are celebrating by telling us what they want, what they really, really want.
In a video produced by W Magazine that features Kidman, Franco, and Ventimiglia, along with Jodie Comer, Keri Russell, Riz Ahmed, Alexander Skarsgård, Millie Bobby Brown, Rupert Friend, Sanaa Lathan, Claire Foy, Johnny Flynn, and Brit Marling, each celeb takes a turn reciting or singing a line of the hit single however they feel best connects with their inner Spice Girl.
“O-M-G!” Skarsgård says at the top of the video, while Friend admits, “I don’t know if I’ll be able to get through this without laughing!”
Performance-wise, Brown is definitely Spunky Spice, highlighting her strong opening with punctuated dance moves and a light shimmy, while Kidman is more of a Sultry Spice in her poetic lyrical reading. We particularly enjoy Ahmed’s Suave Spice interpretation of “zig-a-zig-ah” around the 33-second mark.
