Working with IKEA, the team at Los Angeles’ Oh Joy! graphic design studio and lifestyle blog brought order to a cluttered multipurpose room. Post-redesign, the room has all of the fun, colorful vibes you’d expect from Oh Joy!. And thanks to IKEA’s genius products and systems, all those pretty supplies have a perfect little home.
In the space, custom kitchen cabinets hold tons while creating a purposeful flow to the workspace. The FJÄLKINGE shelf units along the other wall are a nice alternative to black plastic utility shelving *and* hold all the clear SAMLA storage boxes the Oh Joy! staff could ever need. Other IKEA gems like the SUNNERSTA containers let the team corral loose items like pens and paintbrushes while maintaining easy access. All the fixtures work together to create an organized area where everything has an easy-to-find place of its own.
The redo didn’t ignore aesthetics, either; the room’s all-white palette means that the bright, whimsical touches Oh Joy! is known for can take the spotlight.
