Olivia Palermo x Meli Melo Created the Must-Have Bag for Fall 2017
Forget the tote, crossbody, backpack, AND fanny pack: There’s a new trendy bag in town — at least if Olivia Palermo’s newest collab with London designer meli melo is any indicator.
Say hello to the Severine Bucket Bag ($755), the architecturally inspired silhouette from the fashionista and designer Melissa del Bono. Not only is the bag itself structured, with a cylinder shape and a tubed handle, but the gold accents also give a nod to the “architectural jewelry trend.” What’s more, the Italian-made calf leather pieces come in six different hues, two of which (Bianca White and Cardinal Burgundy) Palermo created.
“Craftsmanship has always been important to me, and Melissa understands that, which is why working together is seamless,” Palermo said of the collection. According to the brand’s website, each bag takes about 135 minutes to make, with no less than 28 different components, including the leather, lining, and metal hardware.
The 31-year-old also showed off her new wares on Instagram, writing, “So excited to finally share the launch of my two hues for the Severine collection with @melimelobags!”
