Olympian Misty May-Treanor Welcomes Twins — See Her Sweet Pic!
We’re just a few months away from the 2018 Winter Olympics, and US gold medalist Misty May-Treanor will no doubt be spending some QT watching with her two new little future Olympians! She revealed via Twitter on Thursday that she and husband Matt Treanor just welcomed their second and third children with the birth of their twins.
“The @lbccvikings women’s team got to meet the latest edition of Treanor’s earlier this week,” she wrote. “Lots of babysitters!”
May-Treanor, a three-time Olympic volleyball gold medalist, currently coaches the sport at Long Beach City College in California, and she brought her two new little bundles over to meet the team. She shared a pic of them looking on in joy at the twins in their pretty swank-looking double stroller.

The new babies join big sister Malia Barbara, three, whom May-Treanor and her retired MLB catcher husband welcomed in June 2014. The athletic couple met in 2003 at a sports therapy facility and have been married since November 2004.
“Time as a family, I think, is a lost art,” she said in an interview following the birth of her first child. “Now especially, knowing how precious that time is, I’m actually making up for lost time since I had to sacrifice so much being an Olympic athlete.”
Perhaps unsurprisingly, little Malia took to sports from a young age as well, with May-Treanor revealing that she was so far showing an interest in swimming. We can’t wait to see what hobbies the twins pick up — but for now, we wish the growing family all the best in these first few years!
