How Many Stars Can You Spot in This 2018 Oscars Class Photo?
There’s no doubt that this year’s Academy Award nominees are a super talented group, both in front of and behind the camera. And on Monday, February 5, all of that talent was in one room for the annual Oscar nominees luncheon at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.
Stars including Greta Gerwig, Timothée Chalamet, Steven Spielberg, Guillermo del Toro, and French filmmaker JR rubbed elbows and posed for selfies with each other and the likes of Meryl Streep, Saoirse Ronan, and Octavia Spencer.
And when the meal and speeches were done, the crowd assembled for the traditional “class pic” — an annual photo featuring some of the best Hollywood has to offer. This year was no exception.
Get ready for a celeb version of “Where’s Waldo” as you try to spot Margot Robbie, Ava DuVernay, Meryl Streep, Allison Janney, Octavia Spencer, and Laurie Metcalf. Keep your eyes peeled for Timothée Chalamet, Saoirse Ronan, and Mary J. Blige, too, as well as Daniel Kaluuya, Sally Hawkins, and Jordan Peele.
And if you were quick to spot each of those famous faces, challenge yourself by trying to pick out directors Guillermo del Toro and Greta Gerwig, cinematographer Rachel Morrison, and writer/producer Emily V. Gordon. Bonus points if you can spot the cardboard cutout of Agnes Varda, who was unable to attend but sent a few 2-D versions of herself instead.
The group certainly has a lot to celebrate. Although there were quite a few surprising snubs this year, there are also several 2018 Oscar nominees who are breaking records and making history.
We can’t wait to see which members of this stellar group take home Oscars when Jimmy Kimmel hosts the 90th Academy Awards live on ABC on March 4 at 5pm PT/8pm ET.
