25 of the Most Gorgeous Outdoor Kitchens

Outdoor kitchens are more than just an oversized grill on a patio. They can be outfitted with fridges, stoves, pizza ovens and ice machines, and almost all are accompanied by seating and dining areas, too. Outdoor kitchens allow you to prepare meals and chat with your guests, without having to run back inside for plates, beverages or grilling gadgets every other minute. See for yourself, and get ready to drool over these 25 inspiring outdoor kitchens that take your backyard way beyond weekend BBQs.

1. Pizza Oven: With a grill and a wood fired pizza oven, no one at your house will go hungry. Take some storage and organization tips from this space as well, like built-in trash cans and baskets to hold napkins, glasses and cleaning supplies. (via Better Homes and Gardens)

2. Outdoor Dining: A poolside dining space with a ceiling fan gets the air moving, keeps the kitchen cool and ensures the outdoor party continues all day long. (via Better Homes and Gardens)

3. Top Deck Kitchen: Before building a kitchen on an existing deck, make sure it’s structurally strong enough to support the additional weight. If it’s in the open air, choose surfaces like stainless steel, stone, slate, or tile to be sure it will withstand all kinds of weather. (via Better Homes and Gardens)

4. Fresh Flavors: If you don’t have a full garden in your backyard, surround your outdoor kitchen with potted herbs, tomatoes and peppers for delicious, ready-to-pick ingredients. (via Better Homes and Gardens)

5. Simply Elegant: Outdoor kitchens don’t have to be a grand or expensive undertaking. This little outdoor cooking area only needs one wall worth of space, but has everything you need to cook and lots of counter space for prep work. (via Eric Olsen Design)

6. Modern Lines: Before you build your kitchen, think about the kinds of cooking surfaces you’ll want to use, such as a stand-alone range or a smoking grill. A built-in niche provides a convenient place to tuck a smoking grill when it’s not in use, and shields it from harsh weather. (via Arch Daily)

7. Shady Cooking: A bit of shade can make cooking over the grill much more bearable. This airy portico gives the illusion of an enclosed, private space while still allowing for lots of light and breeze. (via Better Homes and Garden)

8. Open Grilling: Open storage and warm earth tones make this kitchen feel as if it’s one with the outdoor setting. (via Furniteka)

9. Cozy Living Space: We wouldn’t go inside at all this summer if we had this cozy space to enjoy outside. (via Qawoo)

10. Open Concept: It’s half-house, half-patio! The complete wall of sliding glass doors allows this cooking and dining space to completely open up for some epic poolside entertaining. (via Zillow)

11. Hint of Provence: We’re drooling over the concrete and slate accents in this European space. Choosing an easy-to-clean floor like slate makes it simple to sweep up cooking messes and garden debris. (via Things That Inspire)

12. Prep Space: This elegant counter nook has plenty of storage for grilling gadgets, and is connected to running water to make cleaning up a cinch. (via Minimal Home)

13. Pass It Through: The indoor marble counter extends outside to make passing food from the inside dining bar easier. What a fun and functional way to mesh a cooking space and outdoor area together. (via House Beautiful)

14. Stainless Steel: Look for mini appliances when you’re designing your outdoor space. Since you only need to hold enough food and beverages for one or two meals, you can pick affordable, small-space appliances that take up a fraction of the room and use less energy. (via Houzz)

15. Greenhouse Inspired: This Swedish space is light, bright and airy — the perfect complement to any outdoor area. (via Trendir)

16. Courtside: While it can be hard to keep clean, an all-white kitchen gives your backyard a clean and simple focal point. (via House and Leisure)

17. Chic Patio Living: This outdoor grill and prep counter is attached to the patio for effortless indoor/outdoor entertaining. Lousy weather and extra-sunny days can hamper your use of an outdoor kitchen, so having overhead cover is an excellent option. (via Houzz)

18. Private Haven: We are loving the contrast of cedar cabinetry with stainless steel countertops. (via New Eco Landscapes)

19. Gray Tones: A built-in stainless steel BBQ, plenty of cabinetry and a small dishwasher inside this terrace landing make it almost as functional as your indoor kitchen. (via Style At Home)

20. Floating Grill: This sleek countertop doubles as a grilling area and bar seating. (via Houzz)

21. Get Efficient: Nothing is more tiresome than having to traipse back and forth from outside to inside to wash your hands or meal items. Try to include a small, bar-sized sink next to your grill for convenience. (via Better Homes and Gardens)

22. Paint It Black: We adore the simplicity of this outdoor living space. All it takes is a sink and a stove to have all the things you need for a casual, outdoor meal. (via Interior Dec)

23. Mediterranean Tiles: The rustic stone and blue tiles give this cozy space an authentic, Italian feel. We can see lots of delicious meals making their debut in this gorgeous kitchen. (via Houzz)

24. Nantucket Style: Blue countertops reflect the colors of the sky in this extravagant backyard oasis. (via Harper’s Bazaar)

25. White Portico: Pergolas can nicely frame any outdoor cooking area. Fixed lighting and modern furniture combine to make this a highly functional and beautiful area. (via Domaine Home)

Taylor Swift & Travis Kelce are always making headlines for being the cutest couple ever, and that includes their latest vacation. Apparently, the duo is craving summer as much as the rest of us because, during Taylor's break from the Eras Tour, they traded colder temps and concerts for a Bahamas vacation! They were seen sipping cocktails on the beach, swimming, and sipping cocktails *while* swimming. Taylor Swift and her boyfriend spent their time at the Rosalita vacation house, which you can rent for yourself on Vrbo — for $15k a night. Let's take a look!

Where did Travis and Taylor vacation in the Bahamas?

Image via Vrbo

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce spent time at the Rosalita Oceanfront Estate in Harbour Island, Bahamas. This area of the Bahamas has pink sand beaches, beautiful flowers, and an unbeatable view of the Caribbean Sea. All in all, it's one of those places that looks like a postcard, even when you're there in real life!

The rental (which you can rent for yourself on Vrbo) is made up of one main house and a guest house. The main house features five bedrooms, with a sixth in the guest house. The name of the game is privacy with this vacation house because each suite in the whole estate has a private terrace, ensuite bathroom, and private entrance from the garden.

The most important part IMO is the fact the Bahamas vacation house comes with private chefs! I'm a huge foodie and when I travel, my non-negotiable is that I have plenty of local food. If I went on a Bahamas vacation with endless food options, I would be one happy camper!

How much does it cost to stay in Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's Bahamas vacation house?

Image via Vrbo

If you want to stay in Taylor Swift's Bahamas vacation house, you can! All you have to do is shell out $15 thousand a night (via The New York Post), no biggie. With laundry, a pool, and a gym (not to mention the full staff and the private chefs), you definitely get a lot for $15k. However, if you'd rather save some cash for things like souvenirs or local restaurants, you can try this Oleander Gardens home instead.

What is the average cost of a trip to the Bahamas?

Image via Vrbo

Flights to the Bahamas can range anywhere from $500 to $1,900, so it really depends on when you book, which airline you pick, and where you're flying from. (It appears to be a little more expensive flying from LA than from NYC). All in all, a Bahamas vacation won't be cheap, but a budget, intentional spending choices, and making a plan ahead of time will make it more affordable!

What is the best time to go to the Bahamas?

Image via Vrbo

If you ask me, any time of year is a good time for a Bahamas vacation. However, if you suffer from the winter blues, anytime from November to March is a great idea! The temperatures are usually somewhere in the 70s, and since winter is the dry season, you won't have to worry about too much rain. But I've also been to the Bahamas in July, and while it's hotter, it's still very enjoyable.

Where was Taylor in the Bahamas?

Image via Vrbo

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce stayed at the Rosalita vacation house on Harbour Island, but they've also been seen on the beach, on boat rides, and walking together on the docks. Considering the house features paddle boards, bikes, snorkel equipment, and lots of board games, I can imagine Taylor and Travis have been spending plenty of time relaxing. There's also the option to have on-site yoga or pilates classes — fun!

Pinterest Predicts just came out for 2024, and one of the coolest trends hitting the home next year is what they’re callin’ “Kitschens.” Kitschens bring the quirk, the eccentric, and of course, the colorful to kitchen spaces. In Pinterest’s words:

“They say the party always moves to the kitchen. But sometimes, the party is the kitchen. This year, Gen X and Boomers will quirk up their cooking areas with thrifted finds, vintage appliances and eye-jarring pops of paint. No minimalist aesthetic is safe.”

And I am all for it. Those eerily clean, devastatingly gray boxes they’re calling houses now should be eliminated. What happened to the joyous explosions of color around the house? The never-before-seen vintage pieces that stand out from the crowd? I take these things as clear signs of life – and you should be able to tell that people live freely in their homes.

So, in 2024, it’s only right to embrace a dose of color in a world of drab. (I imagine cool decor makes your meals taste better, too.) Kitschens should be filled with polka-dotty, zig-zaggy weirdness: bright appliances, mismatched utensils, borderline bizarre figurines and storage solutions. Here’s what to shop if you’re diggin’ the Kitschen.

Shop The Kitschens Trend

Keidason Silicone Kitchen Utensils Set

Mismatched anything goes along with the Kitschen aesthetic, and these utensils are sure to bring some joy into your cooking.

Citizens of the Beach Gummo Rainbow Double Sided Turkish Cotton Pom Pom Kitchen Towel

Make your kitchen linens *pop* with the help of these multicolored towels. The pattern reminds me of a chunky knit, which only ups the kitschiness.

Susan Alexandra Beaded Planter

Decorating with alternative materials will also amp up the quirkiness in your kitchen, so this beaded container is just perf.

Le Creuset Signature Enameled Cast Iron Figural Heart Cocotte

Kitschens are all about embracing uniqueness and downright fun! Think about the stuff that'd make your inner child happy – for me, it's this darling heart pot.

Smo Ceramics Banana Dish

Same goes for this banana dish – it surely isn't your regular plate, and that's exactly what the Kitschen craves.

Sponge.NYC Kitchen Sponge

This sponge is handcrafted from sparkly yarn, adding a touch of pure whimsy. With the Kitschen trend, it's okay to be playful with even the smallest of details.

Farfalloni-Shaped Pot Holders

This pair of pasta-shaped pot holders definitely give off that childlike sense of play and wonder, but are still practical enough for your adult self. 😉

TIMEFOTO Drinking Glasses

Going along with the colorful and the mismatched, these adorable drinking glasses provide a special sipping experience.

BUYDEEM DT620 2-Slice Toaster

Retro appliances are also so in for this upcoming trend. Look for lighter pastels and simplified controls like the ones on this affordable toaster!

Polspotten Caps & Jars Set

I'm telling you – mismatching isn't tacky! It's fun! It's wacky! If all this crazy color isn't your exact personal style, just pick up one jar instead of three to play with the trend.

Wooden Paper Towel Holder

This paper towel holder has it all in the details – AKA a cutie little flower design!

Dusen Dusen Oven Mitt

Dusen Dusen has gained fame for their funky color combos, and it's even better that they specialize in kitchen goods. Or shall I say – Kitschen goods!

ALINK Ribbed Drinking Glass Cups with Glass Straws

You can start simple for this up-and-coming trend. Take these wonky glasses for example – they're a good step up from your regular-schmegular drinking glasses without being too out-there.

Libbey Vintage Juice Glasses

These pieces make a play on the vintage glassware of years past, but the vibrant colors really speak to the Kitschen trend.

Nostalgia Retro Compact Countertop Microwave Oven

This microwave might just be the cutest microwave I've ever seen. The cool color and sleek handle are Kitchen's perfect match.

Material The rePrep Set

Yes, wood cutting boards do an excellent job at providing a chopping platform, but these eye-catching ones are just so much more fun to look at (and just as practical)!

Streamline Flamingo Salt & Pepper Set

Like I mentioned before – just have fun with it! These flamingo shakers infuse you kitchen table with utter playfulness.

Selena Liu Serving Friends

Again, these serving utensils are a little offbeat, but still get the job done in style!

Last year celebrity stylist Law Roach sent a shockwave through the fashion industry when he announced his retirement from styling. Although his Instagram post dedicated to his decision has been deleted, his caption is still fresh in our minds. He wrote, "If this business was just about the clothes I would do it for the rest of my life but unfortunately it’s not! The politics, the lies and false narratives finally got me! You win … I’m out.”

However, the styling legend is back on the scene just for his #1 client — AKA his little sister and a personal B+C fave — Zendaya! It was hard imagining him taking a step back from helping her serve looks so we're grateful the duo is back. Roach is known for making waves over the last few years thanks to his architectural and design-oriented eye — his choices are bold, beautiful, and all of his clients look like walking pieces of art. One client who constantly makes headlines for her looks (and is a personal B+C fave) is actress Zendaya, who started working with Roach in 2011. In honor of his career, and their sweet bond, we wanted to round up some of our favorite looks from over the years.

Who is Law Roach?

Image via Frazer Harrison/Getty Images

There are many amazing celebrity stylists, but it's easy to find Law Roach's signature touch. He combines his clients' personalities with innovative outfits that have the power to propel their stardom forward and he makes sure his appearance is also on point. No one can do it like him and he's absolutely proud of it.

When did Zendaya start working with Law Roach?

Image via Momodu Mansaray/Getty Images

Prior to becoming a stylist, CNN indicates Roach owned a vintage store in Chicago called Deliciously Vintage. When he realized he could build an actual career as a stylist, he started working his way towards actually being one. He said, "I worked really hard to figure out the ins and outs of being a stylist because I didn’t really have a mentor, I was never anyone’s assistant or an intern.

Well, this hard work paid off because it led him to meet Zendaya while she was filming the Disney series Shake it Up. Together they've created an amazing roster of awards looks that allowed Zendaya's star power to truly shine!

So, was Zendaya the reason Law Roach initially announced his retirement?

twitter.com

None

Negative! After some rumors that there was drama with the actress after he announced his retirement, Roach cleared the air. In honor of them working alongside each other again, here's 14 of the best looks Law Roach styled for Zendaya!

Best Looks Zendaya Has Worn

"Dune" Looks"

"Dune" Red Carpet - The 78th Venice International Film Festival (Sep. 2021)

From Zendaya's tresses to her gorgeous Balmain gown, this ensemble tops our "Dune" looks coverage. With the addition of the stunning emerald Bvlgari jewels she wore, we dare say she looks like a true personification of a stylish mermaid.

UK Special Screening of "Dune" in London ( Oct. 2021)

One thing Law Roach is going to do is drape Zendaya in a look that matches the theme of whatever event she's attending. For the UK special screening of "Dune" in 2021, Grazia shared that he styled his muse in this celestial Rick Owens gown that had asymmetrical sleeves. Adored in tiny glitter sequins, the gown highlighted Zendaya's makeup and braided updo.

"Dune: Part Two" World Premiere in London (Feb. 2024)

Law Roach is known to step outside of the box to create or pull memorable looks for Zendaya, but I don't think we've fully recovered from this. Thanks to The Hollywood Reporter's watchful eye, we know this futuristic look was designed by the one and only Thierry Mugler. We love that it's a part of his 1995 couture collection because it signals that he was ahead of his time. If we didn't know better, we'd say this outfit was designed with someone like Zendaya in mind.

"Dune: Part Two" - Press Conference (Feb. 2024)

Zendaya and her co-star tuned bestie Timothée Chalamet turned heads for all the right reasons at a press conference in Seoul, South Korea for "Dune: Part Two." Fashionista reported that the pair were dressed in matching boiler jumpsuits from Juun.J's Spring 2024 collection.

"Dune: Part Two" Premiere at Lincoln Center (Feb. 2024)

Zendaya was the picture of perfection at the Dune: Part Two premiere at the Lincoln Center in New York. ABC News learned Law Roach styled her in a jaw-dropping gown from Stéphane Rolland's Spring/Summer Haute Couture 2024 collection. It's yet another look she's worn that complements the theme and undertones of the Dune franchise.

Heavenly Bodies: Fashion & The Catholic Imagination Met Gala (May 2018)

If Saint Joan of Arc were reincarnated, she'd come back wearing this metallic piece worn by Zendaya at the 2018 Met Gala. The theme was "Heavenly Bodies: Fashion & The Catholic Imagination" and Law Roach understood the assignment. Harper's Bazaarnoted that she wore a "custom metallic Versace gown"

Met Gala Camp: Notes on Fashion (May 2019)

The electric update to Cinderella's dress at the 2019 Met Gala signaled Zendaya's move from Disney media to more adult roles like Euphoria. This look was fitting because Law Roach feels like Zendaya's fairy style mother! Enlisting the help of designer Tommy Hilfiger, W Magazine reports this gown was specifically designed to light up.

Tiffany & Co. Paper Flowers Event And Believe In Dreams Campaign Launch (May 2018)

This '60s-inspired outfit screams Jackie O. In addition to the feminine jewelry and bow neckline, we love Roach's playful attention to details like polka dot heels and a voluminous silhouette.

CFDA Fashion Awards (Nov. 2021)

Not only did Zendaya wear this lovely Vera Wang design that makes us want to give bandeau tops and peplum silhouettes another chance, but she also wore it while accepting the CFDA Fashion Icon Award in 2021!

Image via Emma McIntyre/Getty Images

Sony Pictures' "Spider-Man: No Way Home" Los Angeles Premiere (Dec. 2021)

Law Roach didn't have to conjure up this custom Valentino gown for Zendaya the way he did in 2021, but here we are. It featured an intricate web design that was on par with the premiere of Spider-Man: No Way Home and we think we're still trying to recover from it!

Image via Mike Coppola/Getty Images

94th Annual Academy Awards (March 2022)

Leave it to Law Roach and Zendaya to make a cropped, satin button-up top and a flowing sequin maxi skirt look amazing. It's a classic look that received the highest of upgrades and feels like something that can be worn in 2024.

Image via Momodu Mansaray/Getty Images

HBO Max FYC Event For "Euphoria" (April 2022)

Her character Rue on Euphoria may be a mess, but this tailored Fear of God outfit was not! Law Roach took another classic silhouette and helped it make a statement.

Image via Frazer Harrison/Getty Images

74th Primetime Emmys (Sep. 2022)

For her history-making win at the 2020 Emmy Awards, where she became the youngest actress to win Best Actress in a Drama, Zendaya wore this strapless black peplum dress that gives the sweetheart wedding dress a twist. It was super chic and sweet just like the starlet.

Image via Frazer Harrison/Getty Images

54th NAACP Image Awards (Feb. 2023)

Zendaya's green and black look (paired with her already-iconic bob) was the talk of the internet at the 2023 NAACP Awards. We're obsessed with how the bright green offsets the simplicity of the dress.

Law: Thank you for coming back!
