Well, can’t say we didn’t see this coming! When we spotted Paris Jackson making the fashion month rounds, we wondered if that meant that she was laying the groundwork for a modeling career. Remember, she sat front row at Dior Homme and Givenchy? Now we have pretty big proof that our hunch was right.
The 18-year-old daughter of Michael Jackson landed herself on a major fashion glossy: CR Fashion Book. The magazine, headed by Carine Roitfeld, is celebrating its 10th issue with two separate covers. Paris is on one, while hijab-wearing model Halima Aden (who just walked in Kanye West’s Yeezy Season 5 show) is on the other.
Holding an electric blue Gucci gown against herself, Paris looks gorgeous with glassy red lips and a very Madonna-circa-’90s hairstyle.
Now Paris’s regram from Carine, who tapped both of the cover models herself, during Paris Fashion Week doesn’t seem so random at all!
Inside the issue, Paris chats with director Lee Daniels. She will guest star on his series, Star, on Fox. “All of my inspiration,”she told Lee of her inspiration coming from her father. “I would say 99 percent of my inspiration comes from him, because he has always been my world. He is my roots.”
She also dished on whether or not a music career is in her future. “I write music for myself. I use it as a way to get stuff out. It’s not something I see myself following career-wise. There are so many amazing artists in my family,” the teen told CR. “If I were to do it as a career, it would change how I feel about music and I don’t want that to happen.”
You can see more of CR Fashion Book’s latest issue online before the magazine is available on newsstands March 2.
