We’re a culture obsessed with photographs. From our Instagram feeds and our Pinterest boards to our phone screens and our ever-changing avatars, it’s all about getting the perfect crop, composition and filter. Displaying photos around our homes has kind of become a thing of the past since we’ve always got full albums at our digital disposal, but wouldn’t it be cool to take that one amazing photo — or even an image of a design we’ve created ourselves — and make it into an enormous wall mural? Now it’s possible, thanks to a service called Pixers.

While photography-based murals are nothing new, this particular company lets you upload your own image and customize it to your liking. You can take that perfect photo from your wedding day or last year’s beach trip and immortalize it as wall art in the shape of your choosing, or you can use that macro shot you took at the farmers’ market and blow it up into an entire wall mural.

What’s more, if you’re truly design-oriented, you could design your own pattern or work of art and upload it in an image file. For the ultimate in convenience, you can even let the service grab the file directly from your Facebook page or Google Drive.

The next time you’re looking at your walls and thinking, “These are just so… blah,” it turns out a simple solution is just a quick snap (or scroll through your hard drive or online photo albums) away.
