Let’s be real: There’s a good chance that you already rely on Post-it Notes to keep your workspace organized, and most of us would be lost without the help of our trusty neon-bright sticky notes. But you probably don’t think of the iconic brand as helpful to your home renovation products … that is, until now. The Post-it Brand is launching Post-it Extreme Notes, and they’re designed to stick to rough or textured surfaces. DIY queens, commence freak out now.

Classic Post-it Notes are great for your desk, fridge, or computer screen, but the new Post-it Extreme Notes are durable enough to stick to wood, stainless steel, tile, brick, and more. The notes feature the brand’s new Dura-hold Adhesive, which means they can withstand harsh conditions including freezing temperatures, heat, moisture, and wind. So instead of merely being a lifesaver for office workers the world over, they’re now an option for everyone else, according to Willem Bastiaens, a Laboratory Manager at 3M, and co-inventor of Post-it Extreme Notes.

Bastiaens told us: “Post-it Extreme Notes were created specifically to help facilitate communication among a new category of workers— the non-traditional office worker.” He added, “Research found that 82 percent of non-office workers experience challenges with non-verbal communication in their workplace, so we developed Post-it Extreme Notes to communicate in harsh conditions and on rough surfaces found in a non-traditional offices such as a construction site, manufacturing plant, or kitchen.”

And they’re truly perfect for any indoor or outdoor project. As Bastiaens said, “They are durable, writable, and water-resistant and will remain adhered to surfaces through the toughest conditions.”

The possibilities with these bad boys are endless. Whether you’re in the kitchen writing grocery lists or marking containers to be stored in the freezer to keep those expiration dates in check, or working outdoors labeling planters in your garden, prepping for an outdoor BBQ or organizing your outdoor storage bins. And when you’re doing home reno projects, you can use them to write notes to contractors, label color samples, and so much more.

Post-it Extreme Notes are now available in national retailers such as Target, Walmart, and Amazon, as well as Staples, Office Depot, Lowe’s, and Home Depot.
