PSA: Starbucks Just Brought Back One of Your Fave Lattes… But Not for Long
As if we needed yet another reason to swing by Starbucks, we’ve just gotten wind that for a limited time, the coffee chain will be offering up one of our — and Hogwarts-lovers! — all-time favorite latte classics: Join us in welcoming back the Smoked Butterscotch Latte!
As you may recall, the mouthwatering concoction, which first debuted last year, is a delectable combo of “espresso with steamed milk and smoked butterscotch sauce, finished with a sprinkling of smokey butterscotch topping” — at least according to the brand’s original press release.
The drink’s creator, Christal Canzler, says the smokey toppings balance out the “subtle sweetness of the butterscotch” and act as “a savory ingredient that enhances the coffee. *So sophisticated.*
As fans of the Harry Potter series will note, it’s not unlike the Butter Beer found within the pages of JK Rowling’s famed books, and it’s a heck of a lot easier to order than its secret menu counterparts of the Butterbeer Frappuccino or the Butterbeer Latte, which, while delicious, will likely require you to write down their ingredients to clue your barista into what it is you’re after.
There’s no word how long these little delights will be around, however, so we highly recommend snatching one while you can, before they disappear — like magic.
