Take a Peek Inside the First Starbucks That Serves Booze
After a long-ago tease followed by a wait of what seems like forever, Starbucks Evenings is *finally* a reality. Well, for those that happen to live in or around Williamsburg, Brooklyn that is. The cold brew + Frappuccino purveyor is giving Brooklynites what they really, really want after 4pm: craft beer, wine and dinner options.
Starting this Wednesday, the Williamsburg, Brooklyn Starbucks location will begin serving its evening menu, which includes beer, wine and dinner plates. Now the #1 first date spot will make a little sense as a break the ice option. The impressive menu has everything you’d be looking for from your fave local restaurant. Food fare includes spinach artichoke dip, truffle mac + cheese, flatbreads, meatballs, bacon-wrapped dates and more. While you can imbibe in alcohol like craft beer and sparkling, red or white wines ranging from $6-$15. Is it wrong if we take one of each?
Though this isn’t the first Starbucks to serve booze — according to The Huffington Post there’s nearly 75 US locations — the Williamsburg spot *does* mark the first alcohol-fueled SBUX in NYC. Shocking right? HuffPo also reports there are plans for even more Starbucks stores to serve alcohol and its evening menu in 2016 if this location’s selection does well. We feel like this is gonna be a huge success, so just expand nationwide now please and thank you.
While we count down the days until a Starbucks Evening experience comes closer to us allowing us to send calendar invites titled “HH @ SBUX” we’ll just stay busy hunting down early pumpkin spice food arrivals.
