Starbucks’ New Hot Chocolate Is Dairy-Free and Totally Decadent

There’s nothing that signifies the holiday season quite like a massive mug of hot chocolate, right? Starbucks has heard your calls, because today, they’re releasing the hot cocoa creation of your dreams… and it’s totally dairy-free (just ask them to hold the whip)!

Hot on the heels of the release of their two new holiday drinks, the coffee chain is keeping things nutty in the best possible way. If you’ve already tried (and loved!) their Toasted White Chocolate Mocha and their Chestnut Praline Chai Tea Latte, you’re going to freak over their latest hot chocolate: the Toffee Almondmilk Hot Chocolate.

In a savory twist on the signature sweet drink, Starbucks’ new hot cocoa features steamed almond milk with mocha sauce and toffee nut syrup, finished with whipped cream and caramel brulée topping. Of course, since they’re all about customization, if you prefer to keep your drink dairy-free, you can ask for no whipped cream. Almond milk lovers, rejoice!

Starting today, you can grab the toasty beverage for all your holiday festivities… whether you’re cozying up on the couch or enjoying a snowball fight with your friends. And the best part is, it looks like the new hot choco might be a permanent fixture on the menu, so it’s here to stay.
